About Us
The Better Hometown Program
is an independent self-help program designed to improve the
quality of life within the city; this is accomplished through
careful planning and implementation. Population is generally
between 1,000 to 5,000. The program allows many different
partners to work together for a shared goal; city improvement.
The Georgia Department of Community Affairs assists in
developing programs and stimulating the downtown
revitalization process by guiding the community to develop
strategies for improvements and economic revitalization.
The Better Hometown Program is developed and operated by our
city. We set our standards and respond to the urgency of
improvements as we see the need. The process has become a way
of life within our community. Social Circle, GA is proud to be
a part of the Better Hometown Communities and is committed to
a higher standard of growth, development and improving the
quality of life.
